This morning millions of Americans woke up pain free, thanks to Chiropractic care. Unfortunately, countless others were not so fortunate. they do not know of Chiropractic's natural ability to relieve pain and improve health. Many of those in pain will go through their day, suffering needlessly, or seeking temporary relief through drugs, or worse yet, anticipating surgery. Most of this suffering is simply unnecessary.
Since its beginning in 1896, Chiropractic has developed systematic diagnostic methods to uncover and correct many of the body's problems. These methods are based on, and supported by, persistent, scientific research
A clear advantage to the chiropractic philosophy is its desire to determine the cause of your problem, not try to mask the symptoms. Once the problem area has been identified, your treatment plan will be established. Our first priority is to relieve any pain you are experiencing. We then work to strengthen and stabilize the area to withstand normal daily activities. Our last goal is to help you achieve the optimal state of health you deserve.
All of these goals are achieved without drugs or surgery.
Wouldn't you like to join the millions who wake up every day pain free?
Shouldn't you try Chiropractic?
Chiropractic has grown from one "doctor" and one "patient" to become the largest drugless healing profession in the world? Why? Results! Chiropractic was discovered in 1895, in Davenport, Iowa when D.D. Palmer gave the first "adjustment" to Harvey Lillard. Lillard was deaf from an injury to his spine seventeen years earlier. Palmer suspected that misaligned vertebrae in his spine were pinching or putting pressure on nerves causing his hearing loss. that first adjustment restored the hearing of Harvey Lillard, and Chiropractic was born! With the growth steadily increasing, we have found the need to acquaint new patients with the nature of Chiropractic Care.
Dr. Carl completed a four year undergraduate program at Texas A& M University and received a B.S. in Biomedical science. He also completed four years post graduate at Texas Chiropractic College to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He has completed countless continuing education courses to keep up with the most up to date treatments in his field as well as the medical field. He is certified by the American Red Cross as a back instructor to teach preventative procedures to employees of major companies. The hours Dr. Carl took in school equals the same hours of study that M.D.'s complete. The chart below compares the course of hours of Chiropractors and Medical Doctors.
Diagnosing the cause of your problem is our first concern. We begin the process with a thorough health history. Our office uses a detailed series of questions, as well as patient interviews by our trained staff, to help us fully understand your problem from your perspective. Then a group of painless, standard tests are performed, including orthopedic, neurologic, and range of motion tests.
X-rays are a crucial component in the chiropractic exam. It allows us to pinpoint existing, as well as potential, problems.
If after the evaluation, it is determined that Chiropractic care may effectively treat your condition, you will be accepted as a patient. If we are not able to help you, we will refer you to the appropriate health care provider. If you are accepted for Chiropractic treatment, Dr. Carl will explain your condition and the prescribed approach to your recovery in detail.
The importance of spinal health care can not be over emphasized, as it is the cornerstone of good health.
When the spine is free of vertebral subluxations, your body is not only in good balance, but your body's resistance is stronger and better able to prevent disease. It maintains the healthy state it was meant to have. chiropractic works on the spinal column, therefore many people assume that it is just treatment for back, neck, and other musculoskeletal problems. However, Chiropractic has been used to effectively help a wide range of conditions.
We have successfully helped a number of health related problems at our office. In fact, many of our patients are surprised to learn the scope of conditions that are successfully helped through chiropractic care. To the right is a partial listing of some of the conditions we commonly help.
During your initial exam, Dr. Carl will be able to tell if your condition is a case that chiropractic can help. Remember, think chiropractic first, it's not only good for you, it's the natural, right thing to do.
